Have you heard?!

It doesn't feel like that long ago a certain blogstar stumbled (accidentally, I'm sure) upon this 'ere blog. We commented on each other's blogs. We emailed. We chatted on Twitter. We became critique partners, friends.


From the first page of her novel, I knew it would happen. Multi-award-winning* blogstar Shannon Messenger would soon become multi-award-winning blogstar AND published author Shannon Messenger. That's right; Shannon's middle-grade fantasy series is going to be published!!!






Her book is funny and thoughtful, clever and fresh. I could talk for hours about how much I LOVE Shannon's writing, or I could own up to the fact that she may or may not have turned me into a cougar (don't judge. Wait until you meet HIM. And when you do, you are welcome to join his fanclub. Of which I am president. There are t-shirts and everything. No, really. I wish I was kidding.). However, I will refrain and simply send you over to Shannon's blog so you can see/hear it for yourself.


Shannon, I'm sososo happy for you! CONGRATS!!!!!!!


You may ALSO have heard (because I am so late to the party) that the lovely Suzanne Hayze sold four books! I was lucky enough to read THE WITCH OF LITTLE ITALY, and oh. my. Suzanne is one of those writers who string words together in a way that makes you want to quit right now.


I have no idea how I ended up with such talented friends!


Can you think of a better start to the week? I truly cannot. You know we're doing a little of this over here:

*I dubbed her the multi-award-winning Shannon back in 2009 (!), and it stuck. Which is to say, I wouldn't stop trying to make "multi-award-winning Shannon" happen.
